The Hall Middle School Career Fair will be held on Friday, February 12th. This event is designed to expose students to some of the many varied career opportunities in the Bay Area.

Race to Nowhere: Tuesday, February 9th – SOLD OUT Another showing is scheduled for March 15. If you missed the film, Race to Nowhere, last week (both shows sold out!), the Lark Theater has added a third showing, also featuring a Q&A by the film's director on Tuesday, February 9th at 7:30 pm. Admission is $20/ticket. Call the Lark Theater 924-5111.

Tuesday, February 23rd: Your middle schooler is stressed! The media, Internet, lack of sleep, puberty, friendships, and brain changes are just a few of the factors affecting your child. Come find out what the realities are and what parents can do to help. Tues., Feb. 23rd from 7:00 8:30pm at Mill Valley Middle School Multimedia Room (left door off main library): Stephen Hinshaw, U.C. Berkeley Psychology Professor and author of The Triple Bind: Saving Our Teenage Girls from Today’s Pressures, will lead an insightful discussion. Admission is free.

Thursday, February 25th: One morning and one evening event -- Another thought-provoking film "Wasted: The Truth of Underage Drinking in Marin County" will be shown on Thursday, February 25 from 8:30 - 10:00 am in the Larkspur Recreation Department's Community Room (next to Hall.) This short film will be followed by a Q&A session with Gary Najarian, Marin County Alcohol and Drug Prevention Coordinator and Twin Cities Police Officer Patty Monge. Admission is free.

Thurs., Feb 25th: the computer continues to change the way we live. Dr. Maryanne Wolf, Tufts University cognitive neuroscientist & child development expert, will describe the impact of the computer and literacy in the twenty-first century Thurs., Feb 25th from 7:00-8:30pm at Marin Primary Multi-Purpose Room. $10 donation requested.
