Tell Us What You Think
In today’s Backpack Mail your child is
bringing the annual Site Council
Parent Survey to you. It is very
important that you take a moment to
complete the survey and give it back
to your child to return to school
tomorrow. Information from this survey
is used by the Site Council to evaluate
how the school is doing in certain
areas and identify areas of focus.
New Student Government
The student council elections for the
spring semester have concluded, and
a new cabinet held its first meeting last
week. As with every election, we had a
great campaign week with creative
posters, slogans and stickers,
culminating in unique speeches at the
election assembly. I commend the
outgoing student council cabinet for
their leadership during the fall
semester. They organized and
managed a variety of fundraisers, the
first dance of the year, and several
spirit days. I enjoyed working with
them and thank them for their service
to the school. The spring student
council cabinet will work on the spring
dance, spirit days, and end of the year
activities.
Along with a new cabinet, each
homeroom has elected their
homeroom representatives for the
spring semester. The representatives
are critical to student government and
school-wide communication. These
representatives have voting rights in
weekly student council meetings and
are entrusted to represent their
homeroom at these meetings. They
also communicate issues and
decisions back to their homerooms to
keep the entire student body involved
and aware. I look forward to working
with the new cabinet and homeroom
representatives to make Hall a great
experience for all students.
