PRINCIPALS
MESSAGE: Feb. 28, 2005 |
Yes, 27 Coconuts
Last week’s Principal’s
Message contained a math puzzler that asked
families to figure out how many
coconuts were gathered by some
castaways. Hall families must really
love coconuts – the response was
astounding. More families than ever
gave a correct response to the
problem. I was glad to see so many of
you working as a family to solve it.
This week we had more correct
answers than flavors at Baskin
Robbins. With so many correct
responses, I had to select the first four
correct responses and offer them an
ice cream excursion on Friday, March
4. Those families are Katie and Nancy, Carin and Michaela,
Jason and Barrington, and Joey
and Cynthia.
Thanks and congratulations to these
families who successfully solved the
problem:
Gigi and Alex, Kiran and Alla, Nikolai and
Cindy, Nico and Lisa,
Kyra and Tasmin, Eric and
Nancy, Emma and Vasfi, Whitney and family,
Ben and Holly, Lucy and Roger, Steven and Leen,
Mike and Janet, Nicole
and Leigh, Cecilia
and family, Rob, Sarah
and Jeannette, Kelsie
and family, Jin and Sunhee, Anna, Maggie
and family, Keira and family,
Erik and Robin, Elliot,
William and Silvie, and Elli.
I will try to incorporate coconuts in
future problems as well.
Eighth Grade Parent Night
On Tuesday, March 1, at 6:00 pm,
Nancy Neu, the principal at Redwood
High School will be in the Hall Library
to talk about Redwood. This is a great
opportunity learn about ninth grade
and some of the great opportunities
available at Redwood. I hope to see
you all there! (Don’t confuse this
event with the 8th Grade Night at Redwood on March 10. Refer
to the letter that Redwood sent you for
information on this event.)
