Student Council
Elections are one
of those events in life where I can honestly say that the journey
is as important as the destination. The students elected a great
Student Council from a variety of wonderful choices. I am excited
to work with the new Student Cabinet on the range of issues they
identified in their campaigns. And while the end result is something
to celebrate, the campaign process filled me with hope and confidence
in the leadership potential and responsibility of our students.
Every candidate ran creative and meaningful campaigns. Many of
the speeches during the election focused on serving the needs of
the students and listening to their ideas and concerns. Throughout
the process the voice of the students was heard. Throughout the
process I saw excellent leaders and opportunities to work collaboratively
to improve the school. I congratulate all who chose to take the
time to run for office, and in doing so, make the school a better
place.

Progress Reports
Progress reports were mailed
last Friday. We send progress reports at the mid-point of each
quarter to students who are in danger of not passing a class. Any
student who is receiving a C- or lower is sent a progress report.
If your child did receive a progress report, be sure to sign and
return it so we know you saw it. We will be contacting parents
who do not send in the signed report to make sure they saw it.
If you have any questions about your student’s grades, contact
the teacher directly.
