Halloween at Hall
This year students will be permitted
the dress up for Halloween. The Hall
Lead Team met to discuss the issue
and solicited feedback from the rest
of the staff. This week you should
receive the guidelines for dressing
up. Costumes must be practical for
attendance throughout the day and
not significantly distract other students. This means that students
must be able to sit comfortably at their desks and participate
in P.E. Costumes must conform to the
school dress code (see Binder
Reminder),
and may not include masks,
any type of weapon (gun, sword,
etc), or hair coloring. Look for our
more detailed list of guidelines this
week. After Halloween, we will
evaluate its impact and determine
whether it is a tradition we will continue.
Please contact me if you have
any questions or concerns.
Pumpkin Carving
This Friday, the sixth grade students
will participate in their annual pumpkin-carving event during sixth
period. Watching 110 students simultaneously carve pumpkins is
a remarkable sight. Sixth grade parents are cordially
invited to join us for the fun. Thanks in
advance to the sixth grade parent leaders,
Claudia Gropper and Monica Sherman for
organizing the event, and to Paradise Foods for providing all of
the pumpkins.
