PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE: Nov. 21, 2005

Dances
The student council organized the first dance of the year several weeks ago. The decorations, chaperones and DJ were all in place. There was only one thing missing: the students. The low attendance at the last dance prompted a Student Council reevaluation of the need for dances at Hall. The student representatives talked about the impact the Rec. Center dances have had on Hall dance attendance. After a discussion, the student council voted to cancel the dance scheduled for the spring.

Parents need to know that the Rec. Center dances are not schoolsponsored or school-sanctioned activities. Nor are they run by the Rec. Center. They are organized and supervised by a private company. I encourage you to learn more about the dances before allowing your children to attend.

October Students of the Month
I am proud to announce the October Students of the Month. These students have earned the recognition of their teachers based on their contributions to the classroom, positive attitude and consistent effort.
– 6th grade: Leah & Dillon
– 7th grade: Kyle & Jacqueline
– 8th grade: Hannah & Chris

Honor Roll and Principal’s List Update
A couple of grade changes after the printing of the last Bulletin have resulted in a need to update the Honor Roll and Principal’s List. Bryce, previously listed on the Honor Roll, has earned Principal’s List. Evan has earned Honor Roll. Congratulations to both of you for your accomplishments. [NOTE: Principal’s List and Honor Roll are on the full version of the Hall Weekly Bulletin; subscribe for access]
