PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE: Feb. 27, 2006

A Day for Careers
Career Day comes to Hall every other year in February. On the Friday before break Hall students heard from over sixty presenters about their chosen profession. Each Hall student attended five different sessions and learned about a career that they may not have previously considered. These presentations ran the gamut of career options, including health, video production, publishing, education, advertising, investment banking and governmental agencies. The speakers were a mix of parents and community members who generously gave their time to talk to our students. We are grateful for the time and information that they gave to our students.

This event is a serious undertaking, involving dozens of speakers and hundreds of students. This year’s event was again a huge success due to the contributions of the Rotary Club, the tireless work of our parent volunteers and the scheduling efforts of Mr. Rodgers. A very special thank you goes out to Danelle Leong, Karen Berg, Bernadette Bantly and Paula Strand for putting all of the pieces in place and providing our students with such a wonderful experience and a big thanks to all the parent volunteers who helped organize the event.

January Students of the Month
The first Students of the Month of 2006 were recognized the week before the break. Two students at each grade level impressed all of their teachers with their hard work and positive attitude. I congratulate these students for earning this recognition and contributing to their classrooms and the school as a whole.
  • Sixth Grade: Maya & Markus
  • Seventh Grade: Kenta & Lindsey
  • Eighth Grade: Ashley & Marc
