PRINCIPALS
MESSAGE: Mar. 20, 2006 |
Class of 2006
Even though we are only in the third
quarter of the school year, graduation
will be upon us before we know it. In
anticipation of that wonderful event, I
feel it is important to review the
academic and behavioral
requirements for participating in all of
the graduation activities.
Academic Requirements
To participate in the graduation
activities of Hall Middle School, an
eighth grader must successfully
complete all of the following:
• Three math projects
• ETF (Education Task Force)
Literacy Portfolio
• Rube Goldberg Science Project
• Physical Education Sportfolio
• Earn a “C” or higher on the
Constitution Test
•
Also, a student may not have more
than one “F” grade for the year in
order to participate in any of the
graduation activities.
Behavioral Requirements
Earning excessive referrals during the
year can jeopardize a student’s ability
to participate in any of the graduation
activities.
• Six or more referrals: Ineligible to
attend pool party at Indian Valley
College;
• Eight or more: Ineligible to participate
in Science Day at Marine World;
• Nine or more: Ineligible to attend
eighth grade graduation dance;
• Ten or more: Ineligible to attend or
participate in graduation ceremony.
All of this information and
more can be
found in the Binder Reminder. If you
have any questions about graduation
activities or your child’s eligibility, feel
free to contact me. I look forward to
seeing all of the Class of 2006 in all of
the activities.
