MESSAGE: May 1, 2006 |
STAR Rolls On
This is the second and last week of STAR testing for the year.
We appreciate your support in making sure your students get ample
sleep and hearty breakfasts to start the day off right.
Open House Next Week
This is your early reminder about Open House on May 11. We will
begin the evening at 6:30pm with a General Session in the gym.
From 7:00 to 8:30pm you will be able to see student exhibitions
and walk into classrooms and see student work. Teachers will
be in their classrooms to share student work and answer your
questions about their program and the activities that students
have engaged in this year. And remember that we will be on a
minimum day schedule on May 11. Students will be released at
1:05pm.
In order to help the night run smoothly, we ask for your cooperation.
While the evening is an opportunity to have the whole family enjoy
Hall, it is very important that parents keep their children with
them during Open House. The purpose of the evening is for parents
to enjoy the activities along with their children. When children
are running through the halls unsupervised, they are a distraction
and a safety issue.
Also, remember that this evening is meant as a forum to display
student work, and that time does not allow for one-on-one teacher
conferencing. Be courteous of other parents and arrange for a conference
at a later date, if necessary.
Student Council “Helpers” will be on campus to help
you find your way, and a detailed schedule of activities will be
available.
