Halloween Spirit
On Halloween day last week our campus was populated by clowns, walking mailboxes, pirates, ninjas and felines, just to name a few. The lunchtime costume contest was a great event that drew scores of costumed students to the blacktop.
I was especially impressed with our staff who dressed up this year. Joining the variety of teacher costumes were thematic efforts from two grade levels. Our eighth grade teachers were the puppies and Cruella DeVille of 101 Dalmations. Not to be outdone, the fifth grade teachers managed to represent the major characters from the Wizard of Oz. All of these teachers were able to do this and manage to teach all day! Needless to say, it was a great day.

Intramural Cross Country
The Hall team finished a successful season on October 26, participating in the 36th annual Middle School Cross Country Championship at the Marin Civic Center. Under the fantastic coaching of Hall Spanish teacher Florencia Gascon, our team competed against several hundred runners from nineteen middle schools. The entire team ran well, with every runner showing great determination and improvement during the season. Nice work Hall runners!
Flag Football Games Continue on November 6 and 13
Hall PE teacher Doug Silva makes his flag football coaching debut at TODAY's game against Marin Primary at Town Park in Corte Madera at 4pm. Coach Silva will also run practices on Wednesday and Friday of this week. Come on out and learn some new Cougar plays! Our last game of the season is at St. Marks next Monday, November 13 at 4pm.
Hall Competitive Basketball Teams for Boys and Girls
Sign-up sheets are in the office for all 6th – 8th graders interested in the Hall Cougars girls' and boys' basketball teams by grade to compete against Marin middle school teams. All practices will be run by Hall staff beginning after the Thanksgiving break on Mondays and Wednesdays. Hall staff will coach 6th grade games on Tuesdays; 7th grade games on Wednesdays and 8th grade games on Thursdays. This program will be funded through our budget and participant fees.
