This Week Tuesday, May 15 • PTA General Meeting Thursday, May 17 • School Site Council Meeting Saturday, May 19 • 9:30-12:30 | Campus Improvement Day Upcoming Wednesday, May 23 •7:15pm | Third Annual SF Giants Night Thursday, May 24 • Teacher Appreciation Luncheon Saturday, June 9 • 9:30-12:30 | Campus Improvement Day Friday, June 15 • 8th Grade Graduation Dance		Eighth Grade Elective We are currently beginning to build the master schedule for next year.  In order to build the eighth grade schedules, we need to know which students will be taking Spanish, and which will be taking woodshop.  Each class is a year-long class.  If you have not already done so, please return your form to the office, identifying your preference for you child.  If you have lost the form, simply call the office to notify us. Graduation Attire Clarification I mailed home a letter to all eighth grade families regarding graduation. I want to clarify the dress code for graduation events.  For the awards ceremony in the morning, students can wear school clothes.  Students are permitted to dress up for this event, but are not required to, especially considering the fact that a two-hour rehearsal follows the ceremony.  At the graduation ceremony boys should wear a dress shirt and a tie.  Girls may not have bare shoulders, but are permitted to wear spaghetti straps.  At the dance students can choose to dress up or dress casually.  Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Academic Recognition I would like to congratulate the students (listed on back) who earned Principal’s List, Honor Roll or Academic Improvement recognition.
