PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE: February 9, 2004

Intramurals at Hall
The first round of lunchtime intramural basketball began last Wednesday and was a great success. The boy’s division
kicked off with twelve teams playing games. The event attracted quite a crowd, and the kids seemed to have a great time. This week the girl’s division will begin and the boys will start their second round.

Honoring Student Achievement
I am also pleased to announce the names of the students who have earned recognition for their academic performance during the second quarter. The Honor Roll students earned at least a 3.5 grade point average and the Principal’s List students earned a perfect 4.0. I commend these students for their hard work and consistent excellent performance. While the greatest reward for a job well done is to have done it, it is still nice to see your name in print every once in a while. And ice cream never hurts either. I applaud all of you for your effort and accomplishments. Keep up the great work!

—Daniel Norbutas, Principal

[NOTE: The Principal’s List and Honor Roll, with full names of students, are in the online Hall Bulletin, available by subscription only]

We are looking for someone to act as Hall’s Safe Routes to Schools Representative ASAP. The representative will work with the principal, local police, town officials, and the county’s Safe Routes representative to ensure that Hall students are safe as they bike or walk between home and school. This is an important job, but it only takes a few hours a month.
