PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE: February 23, 2004

First Students of the Month of 2004
Grade level teams identified the January Students of the Month. These students were chosen for their positive contributions to the classroom and their commitment to their education and growth. With so many wonderful students to choose from, the teachers often find it hard to narrow down the field. I am proud to announce the following Students of the Month:
• Sixth Grade: Sonia & Jeffrey
• Seventh Grade: Eric & Lindsey
• Eighth Grade: Erin & Christopher

Educators Visit Hall
A team of educators from Taiwan visited classrooms at Hall last Wednesday. The group of ten spent over an hour visiting classes and observing American education in action. Our teachers opened their doors and provided an enlightening experience for our guests who were very impressed by the students and teachers at Hall.

Giving So Much
Prior to the Presidents Week break, I participated in two events that reflected the important role that parent volunteers play at Hall. The work accomplished at the Campus Beautification Day could not have been done without the leadership of Maija Norstad and the active participation of numerous parent volunteers. Similarly, Career Fair provided a unique opportunity for our students to learn about career options. Nicole Kowalski and her team of parents arranged a variety of speakers and made the day a great success. And let’s not forget the Hall parents who shared their career choices and experiences with our students.

I thank all of you for giving so much to the school and to our kids. You make great things possible.

—Daniel Norbutas, Principal
