PRINCIPALS
MESSAGE: April 5, 2004 |
April 7 Disaster and Student Release Drill
As you have seen in flyers and my previous messages, this Wednesday
Hall will be participating in a county-wide disaster preparedness
drill. We will be executing a Level II Drill with a student release
drill. While we understand that this student release drill may
cause some inconvenience, it is essential that our emergency response
procedures are effective. The only way to make them effective is
to actually practice them.
The student release portion of the drill will begin at 1:55pm.
Please go directly to the drop off circle to begin the process.
Staff will be there to guide and direct you. During the drill students
will not be permitted to walk home or to leave campus unless they
are picked up by a parent or individual on their emergency card.
In the event of a real emergency, we would not allow students to
leave campus until they are picked up by a contact person. Keep
in mind that in the event of a real emergency, phone contact may
very well be impossible, at least temporarily. The safest place
for your child to be in that case would be with adult supervision
at school.
This drill will end when the school day ends at 3:10pm. At that
time any student who has not been picked up will be dismissed to
go home as they would normally.
Please see the attached flyer for more information. Do not hesitate
to call if you have any questions.

LIBRARY NEWS
School
Library Catalogs – Now Online The
Neil Cummins and Hall Library catalogs are now accessible online.
Just go to the Library web pages and do your book searching in the
comfort of your own home. We hope this will be helpful when students
are working on projects or just looking for a good book. In the future
we hope to provide the opportunity for the placement of online holds.
Thank you! As always, thanks to
all who support our libraries. Remember that these collections
are available for parents as well as students. Call or come by
the libraries any time!
Cartridges
for Kids Just a reminder! The Library continues
to raise money by recycling your old printer cartridges. Send
in those empty ink jet and laser cartridges and we will do the
rest. Old cell phones can be recycled as well. Thanks!
