Staff Takes On Students
Last week Emma and Michaela assembled a team
of students for a volleyball game against the staff
at lunch. Emma and Michaela had
earned the right to challenge the staff
at the CML Schools Foundation
auction several weeks ago. The young
and enthusiastic student team went
toe-to-toe with the not-so-young, but
equally enthusiastic staff team.
Luckily, no staff injuries were reported.
In the end the student team defeated
the staff team, much to the delight of
the student spectators.
This week students and staff will again
compete during lunch. This time a
student team organized by Mikey will face a staff team eager
for redemption. Tip off will be at the
beginning of lunch on Wednesday.
Students and parents are welcome.
Students of the Month
Last week we honored the Students of
the Month for March and April. Each
grade-level team of teachers identified
the following students for their
exemplary work and contributions to
the classroom. I am very proud of the
accomplishments of the Students of
the Month.
Campus Beautification and
Containers
I hope to see many of you for our final
Campus Beautification workday of the
school year on Saturday, June 5 from
10:00am–1:00pm. You can come and help during
any part of the day.
If you have been on campus lately you
have probably noticed the impact
made on the school by Maija Norstad and the students and parents who
have devoted their time and energy.
Also, you may have noticed the
containers at the front of school. Rest
assured this location is only temporary
while the blacktop is being resurfaced.
The containers will move back to the
blacktop when the resurfacing is done.
—Daniel Norbutas, Principal
