This Week Monday, September 17 • 5th Grade Wrapping Paper Sale • 5pm | Site Visit to San Clemente • 6pm | Enrollment, Land Use and Facilities Meeting | Hall Library Thursday, September 20 • 6:30pm | Back to School Night • 8:30pm | PTA General Meeting Friday, September 21 • Deadline for Spirit Wear Orders Upcoming Tuesday, September 25 • 6-7pm | Musical Cast Parent Meeting Thursday, September 27 • 3:30-5pm | School Site Council Meeting Friday, October 5 • 5th Grade Wrapping Paper Sale Ends Saturday, October 6 • 3-7pm | Neil Cummins Hoedown Friday, October 12 • Chalk Festival		Back to School Night Back to School Night will begin at 6:30 pm on Thursday, September 20 with a general session in the gym for all parents.  After the general session (7 – 8:30), parents will follow their child’s schedule.  Each teacher will do a twelve minute presentation on the curriculum and expectations for their class.  Fifth grade teachers will provide information about their classes from 7:00 – 8:00. Zero period classes will meet at 8:30.  This evening is an opportunity for you to experience your child’s school day – albeit in a reduced format and without homework.  A blank schedule for the evening is in today’s backpack mail.  Take a moment to have your child write in their class schedule so you know where to go. There will also be a short PTA meeting at 8:30pm in the library to approve the budget and vote for Site Council representatives. This evening is for the parents at Hall.  Therefore, we ask that you leave your children at home to work on their homework.  While you will have an opportunity to meet each teacher, this evening is not a time for parent conferences.  If you would like to schedule a time to talk with a teacher, you can contact them by email or voicemail and arrange a time at a later date.  Additional parking is available at Piper Park. - Daniel Norbutas - Hall Principal

		Enrollment, Land Use & Facilities  On September 18 at 7:30pm, Superintendent Pitts will be presenting at the Corte Madera Town Council meeting. Her presentation will cover current Enrollment, Land Use and Facilities issues in our school district. The meeting will be held in Council Chambers, 300 Tamalpais Drive, Corte Madera. Please come to learn more about the options and have your questions answered.  You may also find out more about the ELF Committee and its purpose by visiting www.larkspurschools.org .  New Teacher Web & Homework Pages Ever wondered exactly what homework assignment was due the next day, but didn't have that Binder Reminder around to look at?  Not quite sure if that Heritage Essay is due on Thursday or Friday?  Well now, instead of using cell phone minutes to find out you can check the Teacher Web and Homework Pages on the Hall Middle School site.  The page includes links to teacher web sites as well as links to homework pages hosted on www.yourhomework.com.  These sites will allow you to find out about upcoming homework assignments, projects and tests.  Additionally, you'll find teacher email links through our MCOE server.  Check out the page today at: hall-school.org/teacherwebpages.htm Parking Reminders Please note that the back parking lot is closed to Hall parents.  Parking is available at Piper Park and Larkspur Plaza.  Please do not park in the Police Department driveways or use them to turn around or drop off.  Lastly, please don’t use the Hall driveways to turn around as it blocks Piper Park drive.
