Principal's Message : Mr. Norbutas

Last week was a great one for the academic athletes of Hall.  Our seventh grade Mathletes team finished the season with an impressive second place finish.  They beat out over a dozen other middle schools over the four-month season.  Our eighth grade team also had a great season and performed admirably.    The three Hall Odyssey of the Mind teams also found success in their competition.  All three teams qualified for the State finals.  Our seventh grade team placed 1st in their division!     Over the fall and winter, each Odyssey of the Mind team worked hard to create a vehicle and skit to complete a "road rally" which they presented at the competition.  Each team also creatively solved a "spontaneous" problem presented to them that day.  They will now participate in the state competition on April 5.   We recognize that all of our academic athletes dedicate a tremendous amount of time planning and practicing as they prepare for competition.  Special thanks goes to Mathletes coach, Carin Wethington and all of our parent coaches including Judy Schwer, Lynetta Matteo, Barbara Redman, Sia Sooklaris, Scott Key, Todd Clyde, Dave Herze. We appreciate all that you do for our kids.
