Featuring Local, World-Class Musicians

Friday, March 31 • 7:30pm
Hall Middle School Gym, 200 Doherty Drive, Larkspur
FREE! Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis

On Friday, March 31, some of Marin’s finest musicians will offer a special concert to thank the Corte Madera Larkspur Schools Foundation for their support of music education for our kids. The program will feature and eclectic mix of jazz, blues, art song, classical, bluegrass, New Orleans funk, world-beat, and Latin-influenced music. “Our working title for the event was the ‘Thank-You Concert’ because adult musicians in the community wanted to show their appreciation to the Foundation for supporting music and the arts in our schools,” said Kenneth Brungess, producer and music director for the school district.

All of the performers have some association with our schools. Some are parents, others are volunteers, and a couple are music teachers in the district and also actively perform. Among the featured artists are: Michael Arrow (Neil Cummins teacher), Lexi Ahle (Hall teacher), Sarah Wolf (Neil Cummins Director of Music), Chris Smith (Neil Cummins teacher), Amy Friedricks (parent and voice teacher), Bert Pankler (Hall teacher), Ken Brungess (District Instrumental Music Director), Don Matthews (District Specialist), and other notables.

Area residents will be treated to a live concert right in their own backyard by outstanding musicians, and the students will have the rare opportunity of hearing quality music performed live by their music mentors.
