8th grade
AMERICAN HISTORY QUILTS

Featured Quilts

As a culmination of their study of US history this year, (and as a fundraiser for the Corte Madera Larkspur Schools Foundation), 8th graders at Hall Middle School produced four quilts made up of individual squares that depicted events, celebrations and struggles that occurred in America between 1607 and 1914, along with traditional pieced quilt designs. Each student completed an appliqued and embroidered quilt square. The squares were then assembled in a true American “Quilting Bee!”

All four quilts were raffled at the reception following the graduation ceremony at Redwood High School on Wednesday, June 13.
