  1. PRESIDENT’S REPORT
    • Old Business
      • Parliamentarian’s Report
Lindsay distributed the slate for 2000-2001 as it now stands. We need to fill the following positions: Auditor, Beautification, District Breakfast, Membership, Lunch program ordering/stocking, Two Tuesday lunch chairs, Hospitality, QSP Magazine Sales, Weekly Bulletin Editor. The slate will be voted on at the General Meeting on 5/16/00 at 8:30pm. The new By-Laws will also be voted on by the general membership at the meeting on 5/16/00.
      • Teacher/Staff Appreciation Lunch
Debbie Botts is chairing the lunch. It will be 5/5/00 in the MUR. Salads should be dropped off in the kitchen by 11:30. Parents will set-up, serve and clean-up.
      • Food Handlers License and Pre-pay Lunches
Next year the PTA will not sign a contract with the District to serve free and reduced lunches. They also will not provide pre-pay lunches. (This has been done at a financial loss in the past.) A member of the PTA will not apply for the food handler’s license.
      • New Freezer and Clean Kitchen
Fridgidaire will replace the freezer soon. We discussed gifting the good freezers to the District. This could be done with a letter to the District. A crew from Merry Maids and Lindsay has just cleaned the kitchen for a total of 7 man-hours and less than $150.00.
