GENERAL MEETING MINUTES
Meeting of Thursday, September 15, 2005
8:30pm Hall Middle School
Welcome:
President Rebecca Sarokin called the meeting to order at 8:35pm. A quorum
was present (40+ people). She thanked people for supporting the PTA
by becoming members and buying lunches.

Rebecca presented the proposed 2004-05 budget. It includes $500 for each
teacher to spend on their classroom needs, money for the chalk festival,
teacher appreciation events, the fall musical, 8th grade graduation,
and parent education events. There is a large balance being carried
forward from last year due to more-than-anticipated income from the
lunch program. A committee will be formed to develop a proposal as
to how best to spend it — taking into account the upcoming transition
of 5th grade to the Hall campus next fall. She asked for additional
lunch-time volunteers. It was moved (Lynetta Matteo), seconded (Karen
Mangan) and passed unanimously that we accept the proposed budget.
Principal’s Report:
Daniel Norbutus reported that he is still searching for a site council
representative, and thanked people for their support of the school,
including the upcoming chalk festival, pumpkin carving, and field trip
drivers.
Meeting was adjourned at 8:45pm.
